Frederike Grace, trained in Germany, Works from her studio in Burnchurch, Co. Kilkenny; the idyllic country setting inspires her work. She manifests organic and geometric shapes into reality. Frederike loves working with precious metals, adding a splash of colour by incorporating Gemstones and Diamonds that catch the light and underline the wearer’s beauty and uniqueness.

Mary Therese Walker is a Goldsmith & Designer who specialises in one off commissions. The jewellery is handmade in her workshop, which is open for visitors, on the Market Slip, in the heart of Kilkenny. The work is created from unique and original designs, using precious metals and precious and semi-precious gemstones. She also has a selection of limited edition ranges, which can be seen in her workshop. MTW is the first and only goldsmith in Ireland certified to use Fairtrade Gold.

In 1966 Rudolf Heltzel set up and led the trail-blazing gold and silver studio-workshops at the government sponsored Kilkenny Design Workshops. Since 1968 he has been creating magnificent jewellery in gold, platinum and silver. He is internationally recognized for his outstanding designs and the quality of his craftsmanship.

Derek Blanche is a Goldsmith who has trained in Germany and Ireland. He has over 10 years experience in making one-off commission pieces such as engagement rings and unusual individual items of jewellery. He takes an idea from concept to finished article with his unique design style & skill base.

Jane Huston studied Art & Jewellery and worked in London and Canada in leading workshops designing and making modern precious jewellery. She is a qualified gemologist and for 15 years she directed and trained the Crafts Council of Irelands Jewellery Skills Course. She undertakes private commissions and special projects, as well as training, and is a consultant to the jewellery industry.

Inga Reed designs and makes award winning contemporary jewellery for Irish & international galleries and retail outlets from her rural workshop in Kilkenny. She has worked as a designer for jewellery manufacturers at home and abroad and is a guest lecturer in the Crafts Council of Ireland’s Goldsmithing and Jewellery Skills Course.Working in precious metals, stones and pearls, the influence of the Kilkenny countryside can be seen in her style. Yvonne Ross is an award winning goldsmith specialising in contemporary jewellery, hand-crafted using traditional skills. A graduate from the DCCoI’s Jewellery and Goldsmithing Skills & Design Course, she also has a degree in Fine Art and her love of sculpture and architecture can be seen in the balance and clean lines of her work. Yvonne works in precious metals often using diamonds and other precious and semi-precious gems and pearls. She has a broad selection of work on display in her studio along with a consultation area to discuss bespoke commissions, designed specifically for the individual client.

Carl Parker is a

Designer & maker. His

distinctive geometric,

three dimensional range is crafted from precious metals and set with natural gemstones, especially Tahitian “black” pearl and diamond. Several of Carl’s designs have been recognised by Perles de Tahiti UK awards. Commissions are welcome at his workshop, located at the Castlecomer Estate Yard.
